Shall we take a trip down memory lane? How about 2006, when Clayton threw an all out fit during the Happy Birthday song? Or last year when he was all smiles until we all started singing? Yep, Clayton's pretty much made it an annual tradition to tune up and poke his little lip out as soon as we utter the first notes of "Happy Birthday." But I guess turning seven has a way of changing a boy since he didn't once act unhappy this year!!
I'm so proud of him for joining us in celebration instead of getting emotional on us--makes the singing go a lot smoother when the guest of honor isn't in tears! A good time was had by all, and Clayton seemed to enjoy every minute of his party. The best part for him though was the coming and going of everyone. Each time someone arrived, he just about jumped out of his chair in excitement! And each time someone left, he demanded his seat at the window so he could watch them leave and wave goodbye! It's amazing the little things that can make this boy happy!

Aww this little ole post gave me some happy tears and goosebumps. Gotta love the Clayton!! Happy Birthday to the boy with the sweetest smile ever. Ashley you look real good in the photo too. We need a family photo update. (hint hint) LOL
